  1. Beat the egg and sugar together until the blend becomes thick.
  2. Heat the butter until melted, then allow it to cool for a moment.
  3. Incorporate the melted butter into the egg mixture.
  4. Stir in your chosen spices.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour while stirring to prevent any lumps.
  6. Allow the batter to rest for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  7. Drop about one heaping tablespoon of batter onto the iron.
  8. If the batter appears too thick, add a little water to adjust the consistency.
  9. While it's still warm, mold the krumkake using a wooden krumkake roller or by draping it over a cup.
  10. When using a cup, ensure the krumkake is slightly thicker.
  11. Keep the krumkake on the roller or cup until you're ready to shape the next one.
  12. Once completely cooled, store the krumkaker in a metal or glass container lined with paper towels.
  13. You also have the option to freeze the krumkaker.
