Ingredients
- 1 tsp onion seeds
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 500 g self-raising flour
- 1 pcs eggs
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 200 ml milk
- 2 tbsp greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine 1 teaspoon onion seeds, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1 teaspoon salt with 500g self-raising flour.
- In another bowl, mix 1 egg, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 200ml warm full-fat milk, 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt, and 2 tablespoons olive oil.
- Gradually add the liquid mixture to the dry mixture in thirds, mixing until combined.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then oil the dough and let it rise for 1-2 hours. You can freeze it at this stage if desired.
- Lightly flour a surface, knead the dough again, and shape it into a log.
- Divide the log into 4-6 equal pieces. Lightly flour each piece and press it into a teardrop shape with a rolling pin, about 3mm thick.
- Dab with water
- Preheat a cast iron skillet on medium heat and cook the naan until golden brown on both sides.
