Ingredients
- 4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 g salt
- 0.5 g sugar
- 2 ml milk
- 1 g butter
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder together.
- Pour in the lightly melted butter and stir until the mixture comes together.
- Slowly add lukewarm milk while stirring, continuing until a sticky dough forms.
- Gently knead the dough by hand until it is even in texture, taking care not to overwork it.
- The dough should remain tacky to the touch rather than becoming firm.
- Cut the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a ball to the size you prefer.
- Cover the dough balls with a towel or plastic wrap and let them rest for 15–20 minutes.
- Flatten each ball with your hands and make a small indentation in the center using your thumb.
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat until it reaches a suitable temperature for deep frying.
- Carefully place the flattened dough into the hot oil and fry until the underside starts to brown, then flip.
- Fry the opposite side until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your preferred side and enjoy.
