  1. Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Clean and remove the cores from the apples.
  3. Arrange the cored apples in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Stuff each apple with the sugar mixture.
  6. Drizzle maple syrup over the stuffed apples.
  7. Add water to the bottom of the baking dish.
  8. Cover the baking dish using aluminum foil.
  9. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  10. Take off the foil and continue baking for an extra 15 minutes.
  11. Test to see if the apples are soft.
  12. Take it out of the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
