Baked apples with maple syrup
This delightful low-sugar fruit bake makes for an ideal quick dessert option.

Ingredients
- 4 pcs apples
- 0.5 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 120 ml water
- 1 pcs aluminum foil
Instructions
- Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
- Clean and remove the cores from the apples.
- Arrange the cored apples in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Stuff each apple with the sugar mixture.
- Drizzle maple syrup over the stuffed apples.
- Add water to the bottom of the baking dish.
- Cover the baking dish using aluminum foil.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- Take off the foil and continue baking for an extra 15 minutes.
- Test to see if the apples are soft.
- Take it out of the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
