Ingredients
- 1 ml milk
- 3 tsp instant yeast
- 1 g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 ml vanilla extract
- 2.25 g flour
- 5 g butter
- 1.25 ml milk
- 1 g granulated sugar
- 3 pcs egg yolks
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 pcs vanilla pod
- 2 cup powdered sugar
- 3 ml water
- 1 cup coconut
Instructions
- Warm the milk until it reaches a lukewarm temperature.
- Incorporate the yeast into the lukewarm milk and allow it to dissolve.
- Stir in the sugar, cardamom, vanilla, and approximately two-thirds of the flour into the mixture.
- Combine the ingredients by hand or using a mixer equipped with a dough hook.
- Gradually incorporate the remaining flour while continuing to mix.
- Modify the flour quantity as necessary to achieve a dough that is not overly sticky.
- Once a cohesive ball of dough forms, mix in the softened butter.
- Knead the dough for around ten minutes.
- Shape the dough into a cylinder.
- Divide the cylinder into six equal sections.
- Form each section into a round bun.
- Place the buns in a greased muffin or cake tin.
- Cover the buns and allow them to rise until they have doubled in size, which should take about an hour.
