Ingredients
- 3 pcs orange
- 1 tbsp demerara sugar
- 2 tbsp grand marnier
- 300 g christmas pudding
- 500 g custard
- 250 g mascarpone
- 284 ml double cream
- 1 pcs almonds
- 1 pcs dark chocolate
Instructions
- Use a sharp knife to remove the skin from the oranges, making sure to eliminate all the white pith.
- Cut the peeled oranges into very thin slices.
- Place the sliced oranges neatly on a dinner plate.
- Add a sprinkle of demerara sugar over the orange slices.
- Drizzle Grand Marnier on top of the oranges.
- Set the plate of oranges aside for later use.
- Break the Christmas pudding into large chunks.
- Spread the crumbled Christmas pudding at the bottom of a trifle bowl.
- Carefully layer the oranges on top of the pudding.
- Pour any juices released from the oranges over the pudding layer.
- Whip the mascarpone until it reaches a smooth consistency.
- Incorporate the custard into the whipped mascarpone.
- Dollop the mascarpone and custard blend over the oranges.
- Gently whip the cream until it achieves a light texture.
- Spread the whipped cream over the custard layer.
- Garnish the dessert with flaked almonds.
- Grate some chocolate on top of the dessert.
- Refrigerate the dessert until it's time to serve.
