Ingredients
- 1 g shrimp
- 2.5 tbsp jamaican curry powder
- 1 tsp all-purpose seasoning
- 2 g olive oil
- 1 g onions
- 1 g red pepper
- 1 pcs green pepper
- 1 pcs scotch bonnet
- 3 pcs garlic
- 380 ml coconut milk
- 0.5 g tomato ketchup
- 4 tbsp thyme
- 1 g salt
- 1 pcs peppers
Instructions
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of curry powder and all-purpose seasoning over the shrimp.
- Let the seasoned shrimp rest for approximately 10 minutes.
- Dice the onions, peppers, and garlic.
- In a large skillet, warm 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
- Incorporate the sliced yellow onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, scotch bonnet pepper (if desired), and minced garlic into the skillet.
- Sauté the vegetables for 5 minutes until the peppers begin to soften.
- Stir in 1.5 tablespoons of curry powder into the skillet.
- Continue stirring for another minute.
- Pour the coconut milk into the skillet.
- Introduce the seasoned shrimp to the skillet.
- Mix in ketchup and thyme to the skillet.
- Make sure the shrimp is well coated in the sauce.
- Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
- Keep cooking over medium heat, stirring from time to time.
- Turn the shrimp over halfway through the cooking process.
- Cook until the shrimp are thoroughly done on both sides, roughly 5-6 minutes.
- Adjust the flavor with salt and pepper according to your preference.
