Dulce de Leche – a delightful dessert from Argentina.

Ingredients
- 1 ml milk
- 300 g sugar
- 0.25 tsp baking powder
- 1 ml vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a spacious pot with a heavy base, combine the milk, sugar, and baking soda.
- Heat the mixture on low.
- Keep stirring continuously to avoid any burning.
- Keep cooking and stirring regularly until the mixture thickens and turns a caramel hue, which takes around 1-2 hours.
- Add in the vanilla extract.
- Allow the dulce de leche to cool down.
- Pour the cooled dulce de leche into a jar.
- Be aware that it will become thicker as it cools.
