  1. Prepare a 20-22 cm (8-9 inches) springform pan by lining the bottom with parchment paper, allowing for some excess to hang over the edges.
  2. Set the oven temperature to 220 degrees Celsius.
  3. Shred the cheese.
  4. Retrieve the ham.
  5. In a large bowl, combine all the other ingredients and mix for approximately one to two minutes.
  6. Transfer half of the batter into the lined pan.
  7. Arrange the ham and cheese over the batter.
  8. Top the ham and cheese with the remaining batter.
  9. Bake in the oven for around 20-25 minutes, or until the top achieves a golden hue.
  10. Allow the cake to rest for a few minutes before unclipping it from the pan.
  11. Serve the dish warm or cold, garnished with fresh herbs.
