Ingredients
- 20 pcs prawns
- 4 pcs garlic cloves
- 0.25 cup parsley
- 10 ml plain flour
- 100 ml milk
- 15 g butter
- 1 pcs chicken stock cube
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 1 pcs garlic bread
Instructions
- Defrost 20 large prawns until fully thawed; if they have shells, peel and devein them, then pat dry.
- Thinly slice 4 garlic cloves and chop a small handful of parsley; set the parsley aside.
- In a small cup, whisk 10 mL (2 tsp) plain flour with 100 mL milk until smooth.
- Heat about 15 g butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic to the pan and fry until the garlic is lightly browned, taking care not to burn it.
- Crumble 1 chicken stock cube into the pan and stir briefly to combine with the garlic and butter.
- Pour the milk-and-flour mixture into the pan and stir slowly until it starts to thicken.
- Add the prawns and cook, stirring, until the prawns turn pink and are cooked through (about 3–5 minutes for large prawns).
- Stir in the chopped parsley, adjust seasoning if needed, and serve in bowls with garlic bread on the side.
