Japanese Katsudon
Katsudon — a delightful Japanese dish featuring tender pork.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 g onions
- 1 g pork
- 150 ml vegetable stock
- 1 ml soy sauce
- 1 ml mirin
- 1 g sugar
- 2 pcs eggs
- 200 g sushi rice
- 1 tbsp chives
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a skillet.
- Sauté the sliced onion until it turns golden.
- Place the tonkatsu in the center of the skillet.
- Combine the dashi, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar in a bowl.
- Pour three-quarters of this mixture around the tonkatsu.
- Allow it to simmer for a few minutes to thicken the sauce and warm the tonkatsu.
- Pour the beaten eggs around the tonkatsu.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until the eggs are set but slightly runny.
- Split the rice into two bowls.
- Distribute half of the egg and tonkatsu mixture onto each bowl.
- Garnish with chives.
- Serve right away, adding a splash more soy sauce if you like.
