Ingredients
- 2 g strawberries
- 4 g sugar
- 4 tbsp grand marnier
- 1 g cream
- 0.25 ml sour cream
Instructions
- Trim the stems from the strawberries, cut them into quarters, and transfer to a medium bowl.
- Stir in 4 tablespoons sugar and 4 tablespoons liqueur until the fruit is evenly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour and up to 2 hours, giving the berries a stir once or twice while they chill.
- Right before serving, pour 1 cup cold heavy cream and 1/4 cup powdered sugar into a large mixing bowl.
- Whip the cream and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in 1/4 cup sour cream with a spatula just until fully incorporated.
- Give the macerated strawberries a final stir, then distribute them evenly among six glasses or bowls, spooning some of the syrup over the berries if you like.
- Top the strawberries with the whipped cream mixture, dividing it evenly—an ice cream scoop will make a neat, rounded dollop if desired.
- Serve right away or chill the assembled portions and consume within 2 hours; you can also save the syrup to moisten a cake.
