  1. Begin by warming the rapeseed oil in a spacious saucepan.
  2. Introduce the onions into the saucepan.
  3. Sauté the onions over medium heat until they become tender.
  4. If the onions begin to brown, add a small amount of water.
  5. Incorporate the celery, leek, potato, and a piece of butter into the saucepan.
  6. Mix the ingredients until the butter has completely melted.
  7. Place a lid on the saucepan.
  8. Let the contents cook gently for 5 minutes.
  9. Take off the lid from the saucepan.
  10. Add the stock to the mixture.
  11. Include any chunky pieces of broccoli stalk into the saucepan.
  12. Simmer the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes until all vegetables are tender.
  13. Add the remaining broccoli to the saucepan.
  14. Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  15. Carefully transfer the contents to a blender.
  16. Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth consistency.
  17. Fold in the stilton, leaving some small lumps intact.
  18. Season the soup with black pepper.
  19. Serve the soup hot.
