- 500 g king prawns
- 3 g olive oil
- 1 g onions
- 1 g parsley
- 250 ml white wine
- 1 pcs tomatoes
- 0.5 pcs garlic
- 1 g feta cheese
Instructions
- Start by placing the prawns into a pot.
- Pour in enough water to completely submerge the prawns.
- Bring the water to a boil and cook the prawns for 5 minutes.
- Drain the prawns, keeping the liquid, and set them aside.
- In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Introduce the onion into the saucepan.
- Sauté the onion, stirring frequently, until it becomes soft.
- Incorporate the parsley, wine, tomatoes, garlic, and the remaining olive oil.
- Allow the mixture to simmer, stirring now and then, for roughly 30 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
- As the sauce simmers, let the prawns cool until they are manageable.
- To remove the legs from the prawns, pinch them off.
- Take off the shells from the prawns, keeping the head and tail intact.
- Once the sauce has reached the desired thickness, add the prawns.
- If the sauce has cooled down, reheat it to a simmer.
- Allow the prawns to cook in the sauce for around 5 minutes.
- Stir in the feta cheese to the saucepan.
- Take the saucepan off the heat.
- Let the mixture rest until the cheese begins to melt.
- Serve the dish warm accompanied by slices of crusty bread.
- Optionally, to create a pasta sauce, mix in a few tablespoons of stock or passata.
- After adding the feta, combine the pasta with the sauce and serve.
